My birthday gift from my Bestie and "my office"

Today I have a special post because these amazing polishes were brought for me for my birthday and they are my favorite co-worker ever!  She has become like a sister to me and I love her to death!  xoxo Jen

Jen and I started working together last year.  She saw my obsession with polish and kept telling me she wishes she didn't bite her nails so she could do them cute.  I gave her a really thick rubber band to wear around her wrist and every time we saw her bite her nails, we would tell her and she would have to snap the rubber band really hard on the inside of her wrist!  It hurt, so it took her about 2 days to stop lol

Jen always was wearing this really pretty pink and every time I'd see it, I would tell her how much I liked it.  Every time she would say "Erin, its Jolene...AGAIN!"  So for my birthday she bought me Jolene and a new pretty, Minnie Style.  I'm really glad she got me these two.  Her and I try to have weekly date nights, either Mexican food, or nail and wine night, which for me last time consisted of Seagrams and her smoking on my porch lol

My loves at work take care of me and love me lots because I also got a gift certificate to my favorite beauty supply store, as well as my drinks paid for the evening we all went out AND a Bath and Body Works gift set!

This is my "Moon Pie Mani", dedicated to MY moon pie, Jen!  This is two coats of Jolene and 2 light coats of Minnie Style, followed by my love Seche Vite top coat.

Back to how I was explaining our "date nights".  I figured I would post pictures of where this takes place.  I have a amazing glass table with pink legs, a pink chair with a pink light for my desk, two pink helmers and 2 pink baby trash cans, all from Ikea (you know, to let out my inner 12 year old).  I also have a desk lamp there as well, actually that is from Ikea as well!  When she comes over, we turn the table sideways, drag one of my kitchen chairs in and sit across from each other.

Right now I know I am over 500 polishes, with last count at 511, but I KNOW I've added more since.  Maybe a re-count is in order this weekend.  Below is the picture of "my office"!

Do you have a certain place you do your nails or someplace that you can go and be alone with your fumes?  Ha, hope you have a amazing evening!

Zoya Pixie Dust Swatchfest

I got all of the new Pixies because for once I actually loved all of the colors.  I have a few of OPI Liquid Sands which to be honest, I only really love one of them.  These, I didn't even want to take them off to keep swatching!  There are six of these beauties!

First up we have Solange.  I'm usually not a yellow fan or a gold fan for that matter.  But, this was kind of in between and had a LOT of bling with it!  This is two coats with no top coat to show the texture.

Up next is Beatrix.  I love orange polish and this had such a good sparkle to it!  This is two coats as well.  One thing I notice about these pixies is the formula!  These go on really smooth and coat well.  This was my second favorite of the group.

Destiny is up next.  She is a super beautiful coral color.  Destiny also went on like a dream with two coats.  This was the first I bought of the set and what made me go back and buy ALL of the others.

Zoya describes Miranda is a Rose/Mauve.  This color had really good sparkle in it.  I again used two coats.  I could have maybe done one more, but I didn't really feel it needed it.  Also I didn't feel this bad boy would have ever needed a top coat!

Next up is Stevie.  For some reason this was my least favorite.  I think I like the brighter colors with more glitter?  This was two coats, and I probably could have gotten away with one.  This light purple would be good for spring.

Last up, and personally my favorite, is Liberty!  I did three coats on this one, just to make sure I got full coverage but I think I would have been fine with 2.  This is a deep amazing blue that sparkles like no other!  This color was borrowed by a dear friend of mine, Jen, who was going to kidnap it!

This collection is one of my favorite.  I don't have a lot of collections that I buy the whole group, but this one I did for sure.  I didn't buy them all to start out with, but after trying one or two I had to go back and buy them.  Do any of you have this group of pretties?  Which ones are your favorites?

Quick Post Today!

I usually don't do patriotic designs, but after I saw a pin on Pintrest I HAD to do this one.  I used Sally Hansen "Navy Baby", my FAVORITE red ever OPI Color So Hot It Berns, a random white and my white Konad polish for the stamp.

Yesterday I did some crackle, which I don't do very often.  I used the hell out of it when it first came out so I was kinda burnt out on it.  But THIS is a favorite.  I love neons.  I used Orly Beach Cruiser, GlowStick, Melt your Popsicle, and then Color Club, the Lime Starts Here.  I used OPI Black Shatter as well.

Thanks for looking!!!

The Nail Junkie

Today I have a beautiful collection of polish to show you!  A friend of mine Aleta at The Nail Junkie made these amazing polishes.  She has tons of pretty polishes for sale, but this line isn't out quite yet!  Her jelly line is really nice and I have two of those as well.

The collection consists of four polishes.

The need for these adorable polishes started at one of Aleta's nail and wine nights.  I saw the new collection but knew that I hadn't see them on her Etsy page.  The little pony one is what caught my eye.  Afterwards she had told me I could buy them before she sold them if I wanted to, so of course, pay day I was at her house!  All of the swatches are done with Essie Grow Stronger and Nail Envy as a base and topped with Seche Vite.

This is a nail wheel of all of them, alone, over white then over black.

First up we have Wizard.  Wizard has what looks like, blue, pink and purple hex, bar and micro glitter in it.  The polish went on really good.  It was thick but I had no issues getting the hex glitters out or the bar glitters.  I wore it over Zoya Blu and Essie French Affair.  I love how the glitters take on the colors being worn.  You can totally see the blues and the pinks in the polish.

Next up is Fairy.  Fairy is super pretty with the stars in it.  I loved this over Butter Londons Fiver polish.  When I showed the picture to Aleta she was happy that you could see the different colors in the stars, the pink and purples.  No issues getting the stars out of the bottle.  Just rolled the bottle for a few seconds before I started using it.

This is my second favorite of the group.  Mermaid is a amazing polish with what looks like green, teal and maybe a blue with a white micro glitter polish.  This was a little on the thick side but it actually worked great because it gave me really good coverage.  I started with a base of OPI Austin-Tatious Turquoise to just give me a small amount of a base color.

Last but DEFINITELY not least, Pony.  This polish is so fun!  I LOVE the colors in it.  It has yellow, blue, green, pink and purple hex glitters along with a holo micro glitter.  I wore this over white and black cremes.  Again no issues getting the glitters out and like the rest of this collection dried quickly.  THIS was my favorite of the group and the first one I wore when I got them home.

This collection of polish was a fun one!  I got a lot of compliments on all of them, mostly from guys surprisingly!  When I wore the Fairy I had one guy tell his wife "why can't YOUR nails look like that!?!?"  Oops, sorry lady lol  All of these polishes dried very quick, applied very well and I'm super glad I got them! Aleta has a whole bunch of beautiful polishes over at her Etsy page.  Make sure you follow her on her Facebook Page as well to be in the loop with her new stuff!

Aleta, thank you for allowing me to do this post before you listed these adorable little bottles of perfection!
